Podcasts booming for ABC

RADIO National's podcasting experiment has been so successful that another raft of specialist programs will be made available online from July 9.

The popular 8.30 Reports - Health Report, Law Report, Religion Report, Media Report and The Sports Factor - and Books and Writing, The Spirit of Things and Ockham's Razor will be added to the list of MP3-downloadable content.

The podcasting trial has exceeded expectations, growing from 19,000 downloads on June 19 to 74,000 last week.
