ABC Radio expands podcast trial

ABC Radio's podcasting trial, which commenced in May, is to be expanded after downloads hit over 100,000 in one week.

The network is now doubling the number of programs available, adding a further eight shows to its podcast service from Sunday.

It's no great surprise that podcasts are so popular, but I think the most interesting and significant part is that in a survey:

Half say they download shows they usually don't listen to on the radio.
