The hot new word in iPods - pardon?
Researchers are predicting increasing levels of tinnitus and other hearing problems among iPod users.
Research done by the National Acoustic Laboratories, to be released by the Federal Government today, has found up to a quarter of users of iPods and other portable music devices will suffer hearing problems because they are listening to their players at 'excessive and damaging' levels.
The research also predicts rising levels of tinnitus - ringing in the ears - and loss of hearing because people can't maintain 'responsible' listening habits.
