Find and download podcasts on a mobile phone

Melodeo Software has released Mobilcast™ - software that allows you to find and download podcasts on a mobile phone.

This shows the type of convergence occuring with these new technologies and makes a significant step towards being able to download podcasts (and other media, eventually) directly to a mobile device.

The downside is the price. Cost of data transfer over phone networks is horrendously expensive (prohibitively so, imo).

I think it's more likely that people will be using wi-fi enabled mobile devices, such as a PDAs, with podcatching software to do the same thing for a heck of a lot less.
